President Donald Trump suggested the United States might take military action against Cuba.
AFP reported that on the 1st (local time), at an event in Florida, Trump said U.S. forces could occupy Cuba "almost immediately."
He singled out the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, saying that if it were positioned 100 yards off Cuba's coast while returning from Iran, "they will surrender."
In response, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned the remark as a "grave criminal act" and urged the international community to respond.
