The Israeli military has deployed elite units to expand its ground campaign in southern Lebanon aimed at the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.
On April 7 local time, the military said the 98th Division — composed of paratroopers and special operations forces — recently launched additional targeted operations in southern Lebanon.
It added that Hezbollah has positioned forces along anti-tank defensive lines after firing anti-tank guided missiles.
Military officials said operations are continuing to strengthen the forward defense line and remove threats to communities in northern Israel.
