Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi formally raised Israel’s alleged cease-fire violations with Pakistan, which helped mediate the two-week truce between the U.S. and Iran.
On the 8th (local time), Araghchi wrote on his Telegram channel that he had phoned Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir, and voiced “serious concern” over repeated Israeli breaches of the truce on Iranian territory and along the Lebanon front.
On the truce’s first day, Israeli forces carried out the largest airstrikes since the fighting began, striking targets across Lebanon — including Beirut and the south.
Fars News Agency, citing a security source, reported that Iranian authorities are weighing operations against military targets inside Israel because Israel has not halted its offensive toward Lebanon.
The source said, “The Israeli regime continues its offensive against Lebanon and resistance forces, breaking its truce promises,” and added that officials are preparing deterrent operations aimed at key military sites on Israeli soil.
The source also said Iran’s leadership believes either the U.S. cannot rein in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or that U.S. Central Command is tacitly allowing Israeli strikes.
