On March 14 (local time), Palestinian militant group Hamas publicly asked Iran to refrain from carrying out strikes against neighboring countries.

In a statement, Hamas said it recognizes Iran's right to \"use all means\" to respond to what it called \"the aggressors\" (Israel and the United States) under international norms and law, but it appealed to its Iranian \"brothers\" not to target neighboring states.

The plea is the first of its kind from Hamas directed at its key backer. Analysts say the move likely reflects concern for relations with other allied states — notably Qatar and Turkey — that have reportedly been affected by Iranian strikes amid Tehran's confrontation with the U.S. and Israel.

Hamas also urged the international community to act immediately to prevent a broader war that could destabilize the entire Middle East.

Meanwhile, Iran has carried out missile and drone strikes linked to operations in at least 10 countries. Tehran says its strikes have targeted U.S. military sites, American diplomatic facilities and similar installations, and it has denied responsibility for some reported incidents.
