South Korea's presidential office said it cannot yet determine the type of aerial vehicle that struck the Namoo in the Strait of Hormuz.
Yonhap reported that on the 12th the presidential office said investigators cannot yet determine the exact model of the aerial vehicle that struck the Namoo.
A presidential office official said investigators recovered unidentified debris, including an engine, from the Namoo and will conduct further analysis to identify the attacker, the exact model and the vehicle's dimensions.
Some outlets reported the debris recovered at the scene was tentatively identified as the engine of an Iran-made Shahed-136 drone. South Korea's Foreign Ministry, which is leading the investigation into the Namoo strike, dismissed those reports as inaccurate and said it will determine the facts through additional analysis.
