SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama Shin Yi-rang Law Office premieres on the 13th. The series centers on Shin Yi-rang, a lawyer who unexpectedly becomes a conduit for the dead’s grudges, and Han Na-hyun (Esom), a cold-blooded, win-at-all-costs elite attorney. Early teasers and images teased a fresh genre blend and energetic tone, sparking viewers’ curiosity. Here are the key reasons to tune in.
Yoo Yeon-seok’s Shin Yi-rang sets up shop in Suite 501 of the Okcheon Building, a space that used to be a shaman’s home, and quickly encounters the supernatural. Against his will he begins seeing ghosts, and the hauntings escalate to full possession, forcing him to resolve the grudges of the deceased.
The central irony — a lawyer who should rely on cool, analytical reasoning becoming a vessel for spirits — is what makes the character compelling. With the ghosts’ help he snatches crucial clues, and when possession takes hold his speech, expressions and gestures shift dramatically.

Chemistry between the leads is another major draw. Shin Yi-rang follows instinct and feeling, while the logical, icy Han Na-hyun approaches cases with reason. Their contrast generates taut tension, and watching these two initially incompatible figures work through cases together — and change as a result — is one of the show’s most engaging arcs.
Anchoring the drama’s conflict is Yang Do-kyung (Kim Kyung-nam), head of law firm Taebaek. He treats the law as a strategic tool to secure victories and repeatedly questions Shin Yi-rang’s unconventional methods, setting up sharp confrontations. His fraught dynamic with Han Na-hyun promises psychological skirmishes that deepen the series’ intensity.
Rounding out the roster are brother‑in‑law and office manager Yoon Bong-su (Jeon Seok-ho), Father Mateo (Jung Seung-gil), who offers direction at pivotal moments, and a rotating cast of deceased clients, each with their own backstory. Together they forge Suite 501 into a cohesive, if unconventional, team.
Shin Yi-rang Law Office airs that night at 9:50 p.m.
