Actor Um Ki-joon announced he will appear in a Japanese film.
On April 8, MBC's variety show Radio Star aired a \"The Man Living with King Suro\" special. The episode featured Kim Soo-ro, Um Ki-joon, Park Gun-hyung and Kim Hyung-mook, who kept the conversation lively with sharp banter.
Um revealed he’s been cast in the Japanese adaptation of The Outlaws, titled Tokyo Burst: The Outlaws, a project that lists Don Lee as a producer rather than a co-star. He said he plays a Korean villain and added, \"This time I'm doing it myself — there were a lot of action scenes,\" heightening expectations for his turn on screen.
He said the film’s release in Korea is still under discussion and that principal photography wrapped last year. Um also said he’ll be traveling to Japan soon for work related to the movie. Asked about differences between Japanese and Korean film sets, he noted, \"They're much faster than ours — the pace is really quick,\" and said the Japanese team completed shooting in just two months.
Meanwhile, MBC's Radio Star airs Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. and is known for disarming guests with unpredictable, razor-sharp humor to draw out candid stories.
