'The Man Who Lives with the King,' which has drawn 12 million admissions, has become so popular that scalpers are reselling tickets for its stage-greeting screenings.
On March 11, Showbox said, "We have identified instances of scalped tickets for the Tuesday, March 17 stage-greeting circulating on social media platforms and secondhand marketplaces."
The company said buying tickets through unauthorized channels and reselling them above face value — instead of purchasing through designated sellers — undermines a healthy cinema-going culture.
Showbox also urged moviegoers to refrain from buying overpriced scalped tickets and to report any such activity through the official integrated reporting site.
'The Man Who Lives with the King' will hold a box-office thank-you stage greeting at Megabox COEX on March 17.
Principal cast and crew slated to attend include Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Min and director Jang Hang-jun. Also expected are Lee Joon-hyuk (Makdong Ajae), Kim Su-jin (Makdong Eomeom) and Park Ji-yoon (Makdong-i).
Meanwhile, on its 35th day in release, the film reached the 12 million admissions milestone today (March 11).
