[Sports Seoul | Reporter Lee Dong-yoon] The historical drama The Man Who Lives with the King is returning to audiences in a special way.

On the 24th, distributor Showbox announced that The Man Who Lives with the King will screen as part of the Gachibom program from April 6 through April 20. The distributor said the run is intended to offer an inclusive theatrical experience that lets visually and hearing-impaired audiences and sighted viewers share the film’s emotional impact together.

The Gachibom screenings are organized by the Korea Blind Union and the Korea Association of the Deaf, with support from the Korean Film Council and the Lottery Commission. Showings will include audio description and Korean subtitles to improve accessibility, allowing audiences with visual or hearing impairments — as well as those without disabilities — to fully enjoy the film under the same conditions.

The screenings will roll out sequentially at 77 theaters across 17 provinces and metropolitan cities nationwide, including Seoul, Gangwon, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, Busan, Ulsan and Jeju.
