[SPOTV News = Reporter Choi Sinae] South Korean streaming service Wavve has unveiled its April slate in the latest Monthly Wavve video. Across April, the platform will roll out a varied lineup spanning drama, variety and sports — highlighted by original survival series Betting on Fact, the buzzy period-romance 21st-Century Grand Lady, and live streaming of every KLPGA and KPGA event.

▶ Live online coverage of every KLPGA and KPGA event — Wavve enhances viewing with a dedicated golf channel and Dolby Vision

Wavve has launched a dedicated golf channel to stream every Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) and Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) tour event live. Coverage begins with the KLPGA’s Rejuran Championship in Thailand on April 12, and Wavve will carry all KLPGA events through the season, including the domestic opener in April. KPGA action follows, starting with the DB Insurance Promy Open on April 16.

On the Wavve TV app, the service has added Dolby Vision support to deliver a wider color gamut and higher brightness than standard video. The upgrade promises sharper greens and even the faintest golf-ball trajectories, creating a more immersive field experience. The golf channel, which launches April 12, will also offer VOD replays, full- and player-specific highlight packages, award ceremonies and interviews — a one-stop hub for golf fans.

▶ Wavve’s subscription driver Betting on Fact and the original drama Reverse

Wavve premiered the original variety series Betting on Fact on March 27. The format strands eight contestants in an isolated setting where they must distinguish truth from fake news in a fact-verification survival. Led by Jang Dong-min — the self-styled survival GOAT with four wins — the cast mixes provocative voices: polarizing political commentators Jin Jung-kwon and Helmouse, and party representatives Park Seong-min (Democratic Party) and Kang Jeon-ae (People Power Party). The show generated huge buzz and ranked first among new-subscription drivers in its debut week.

The roster also includes political YouTuber Jung Young-jin, comedian Lee Yong-jin and singer-actress Ye-won, each vying for the win. Audiences are closely watching this pride-driven clash of fact-checkers.

Wavve will release its original drama Reverse on April 17. The mystery-revenge thriller follows Myeo-jin, who loses her memory after an explosion at a chaebol family villa. As she recovers fragments of her past, she pursues the truth about her suspicious fiancé Junho and the circumstances behind the blast. Alongside leads Seo Ji-hye and Ko Soo, a strong ensemble — including Kim Jae-kyung, Yoon Je-moon, Im Won-hee, Choi Moo-sung and Shim Hyung-tak — rounds out the cast.

▶ Star pairings to watch: IU x Byeon Woo-seok in 21st-Century Grand Lady → Shin Hye-sun x Gong Myung in Secret Audit

The highly anticipated drama 21st-Century Grand Lady premieres April 10. Set in an imagined 21st-century constitutional monarchy, MBC’s new Friday–Saturday series follows a chaebol woman who, despite her wealth, retains only a commoner’s status, and a prince who can’t claim anything — together they challenge social barriers in a status-defying romance. The pairing of multi-hyphenate star IU (as Seong Hee-joo) and breakout favorite Byeon Woo-seok (as Prince Ian) has made the series one of 2026’s most talked-about titles. Supporting turns from Noh Sang-hyun (Min Jung-woo) and Gong Seung-yeon (Yoon I-rang) add further star power.

Shin Hye-sun, fresh off a standout turn in Lady Dua, returns with another transformation in Secret Audit, which premieres April 27 on tvN. The series centers on Ju In-ah, an audit chief with buried secrets, and No Ki-joon, an ace auditor demoted to investigate workplace misconduct. Their tense, close-quarters dynamic sparks an offbeat workplace romance. Shin Hye-sun plays the feared, no-nonsense Ju In-ah, while Gong Myung portrays the demoted ace No Ki-joon. Director Lee Su-hyun (The Man Is Black Dragon), writer Yeo Eun-ho (One-Tap Scandal) and rom-com veteran creator Yang Hee-seung are attached, promising a tightly crafted production.

Wavve is also streaming tvN’s suspense drama How to Become a Building Owner in Korea, marking actor Ha Jung-woo’s return to television drama after 19 years.

▶ From The Seasons — Sung Si-kyung’s The Eardrum Boyfriend to Our Neighborhood Baseball Captain, variety shows span multiple genres

KBS’s live music project The Seasons — Sung Si-kyung’s The Eardrum Boyfriend launched on March 27. The Seasons is KBS’s first late-night music talk show to adopt a seasonal MC format; Sung Si-kyung steps in as the program’s ninth host. The premiere featured singer Lee So-ra’s first broadcast appearance in six years, delivering a standout performance. Fans are eager to see how The Seasons evolves under Sung Si-kyung’s stewardship.

KBS2’s Our Neighborhood Baseball Captain, which debuts April 12, is a sports-variety series that follows retired pro players as they form U-10 youth teams in their former clubs’ hometowns and compete in a real league. KBO legends Park Yong-taek, Lee Dae-ho, Kim Tae-gyun and Na Ji-wan take on managerial roles for the first time, scouting and nurturing talent in Seoul, Busan, Chungcheong and Gwangju. Actor Kim Seung-woo, president of the Korea Little Baseball Association, and former pro Lee Dae-hyung serve as commentators, while KBS N Sports announcer Lee Dong-geun handles play-by-play, bringing the Little KBO League to life.

E Channel’s hit Brave Detectives — another Wavve staple — returned for Season 5 on March 27. The series documents detectives’ case files as they fight crime to protect public safety. Season 5 injects fresh energy with new MCs Kwak Sun-young and Yoon Doo-joon joining veterans Ahn Jung-hwan and profiler Kwon Il-yong.

▶ Tving originals arrive on Wavve — from Pyramid Game to Dear X

Beginning in April, Wavve will add Tving original dramas to its catalog. New arrivals include webtoon adaptations Pyramid Game, Dear X, Study Group and Ijae, I’m Dying Soon, alongside the adult historical Woo-ssi Queen and the supernatural thriller Gwei. The additions expand Wavve’s slate across school dramas and suspense, offering viewers more genre variety.
