[By Song O-jung, Sports Today] Content Wavve, the operator of the streaming service Wavve, said on the 1st that its board has appointed Lee Yang-gi, who led CJ ENM's OTT Competitiveness Strengthening Task Force, as its new chief executive.

Lee previously managed business operations at CJ ENM and served as chief financial officer at TVING. He joined Content Wavve as CFO in 2025 and is regarded as a specialist in media and financial strategy.

Prior to his promotion, Lee was credited with several strategic initiatives: securing supply of CJ ENM films and tvN dramas to Wavve; launching combined Wavve–TVING subscription bundles and ad-supported (AVOD) pricing plans; arranging reciprocal distribution of original content between Wavve and TVING; and acquiring broadcast rights for KLPGA and KPGA professional golf tournaments.

“I will do my utmost to maximize the synergy between Wavve and TVING as they pursue a merger, and to deliver the best possible content experience to users,” Lee said.
