Actress Choi Hee-jin has been cast in the drama Love Cloud.
TenAsia reported on March 26 that Choi will appear in Love Cloud. She is set to play Hanna, the energetic spark of Jeju Airport’s air traffic control team.
Earlier casting announcements—including Song Joong-ki, Park Ji-hyun and Lee Si-woo—had already generated buzz around the project.
Love Cloud follows Kang Woo-ju, a former flight instructor, and Ahn Ha-ni, a trainee pilot, who reunite seven years later in a mysterious Jeju where love can feel as changeable as the weather. The pair cross paths again, this time as an air traffic controller and a pilot, sparking a romantic comedy. Director Song Min-yeop, known for KBS2’s Youth of May (2021) and the 2023 drama Hi Cookie, will lead the production. The series has not yet confirmed a network and is expected to air in the second half of the year.
Born in 1996, Choi Hee-jin debuted in 2017 through a Lotteria commercial and trained at the Korea National University of Arts’ School of Drama. She has expanded her range with roles in Snowdrop, Hip Hage and Strong Woman Kang Nam-soon. Last year she delivered a steady performance as Na In-woo’s junior veterinarian in Motel California and made an unforgettable impact as Sonya the cat in More Beautiful Than Heaven.
