On the 13th, the YouTube channel HotIssueji said it had confirmed instances of people posing as channel staff to contact individuals privately or to solicit meetings.
HotIssueji said it handles appearance and collaboration inquiries only through its official email or verified staff. It does not request personal information, photos, or materials from unverified contacts, nor does it pressure people into meeting in person.
The channel urged anyone contacted by someone claiming to represent HotIssueji to verify the outreach via the channel’s official email. It thanked those who reported suspicious contacts and warned the public to exercise extra caution to avoid falling victim to similar scams.
HotIssueji is a YouTube channel with 1.32 million subscribers. Lee Suji has built a following with satirical sketches featuring several alter egos, including a Daechi-dong parent, the influencer "Shubli Mom," and a kindergarten teacher.
