Former Cheil Industries VP who led Levi's Japan

Musinsa has tapped a fashion veteran with about 30 years of experience as an outside director. The company says the move will bolster accountable management and sharpen its fashion expertise as it pushes further into global markets.
Musinsa announced on April 1 that Park Chang-geun was appointed as an outside director at its 14th annual shareholders' meeting held March 31.
Park Chang-geun, the new outside director, previously served as vice president at Cheil Industries Inc. and led Levi's operations in both Japan and Korea, gaining management experience across global markets.
He later oversaw major fashion brands including MCM, NEPA, and Dr. Martens—driving brand turnarounds and global expansion. Park also teaches as a visiting professor in Seoul National University's Department of Clothing, mentoring the next generation of industry talent.
Musinsa said it expects his on-the-ground experience and academic chops to provide the comprehensive insight needed as the company aims to evolve into a global platform amid a rapidly shifting fashion-commerce landscape.
With Park's appointment, Musinsa's board now includes four outside directors, strengthening its independence and expertise.
A Musinsa spokesperson said the company will lean on its board to raise the professionalism of major decisions and will double down on Musinsa's role as a partner that helps brands expand globally.
