This fall, outerwear is having a moment in the men’s market. ANDZ, the men’s line from Shinseong Tongsang, says outerwear made up 26.8% of its total sales over the five weeks starting Oct. 12 — putting it second only to suits. Within that category, jackets accounted for 53.4% of sales, an 11% jump year over year.

Retailers point to a growing appetite among men in their 30s for versatile outer layers that work for the commute and weekend plans alike. Shoppers want pieces that slip over a suit easily but still transition into relaxed, off-duty looks after work.

To meet that demand, ANDZ rolled out three black outerwear styles designed to pair with suits: a semi-overfit double coat, a vegan-leather high-neck mustang, and a corduroy-and-wool blouson.

The semi-overfit double coat offers a relaxed silhouette and a clean, minimalist look so it can be thrown over a suit jacket without feeling tight — perfect for urban polish. The vegan-leather high-neck mustang combines a shearling-style collar with vegan leather for a cozy, structured feel that caught shoppers’ eyes. And the corduroy-and-wool blouson is styled to bridge casual and formal, making it equally useful for the daily commute and weekend plans.

The industry has watched the divide between suits and casualwear blur in recent years. Men in their 30s, especially, prefer multifunctional pieces that cover a range of occasions. An ANDZ spokesperson said, “Our sales data show a clear rise in outerwear purchases among men in their 30s. The growth in jacket sales reflects expanding demand that’s erasing the lines between formal and casual dressing.” Analysts view this as a natural shift in how modern professionals dress and shop.

Under its “Sensual Modernity” philosophy, ANDZ blends youthful energy with classic tailoring, pitching pieces that work for everything from wedding photos and business meetings to dates. That mix of practicality and style is resonating with buyers who want both.

ANDZ will run an “ANDZ BLACK DAY” promotion from Nov. 14–30, offering 30% off all items online and in stores nationwide. The brand is also offering an extra ₩30,000 (about $23) off purchases over ₩600,000 (about $450) and a ₩10,000 (about $8) welcome discount for new members.
