Clothing label HATCHINGROOM stepped up with a heartwarming donation to support underprivileged children studying the arts across Gyeonggi Province.
On Feb. 23, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation’s Gyeonggi office, led by Yeo In-mi, announced it received a donation of 5,000,000 KRW (approximately $3,750) on Feb. 20 from HATCHINGROOM founder Kim Hyun-ji and Seo Gyun-seok, CEO of Archive Co.
The funds came from proceeds of HATCHINGROOM’s Archive Market, where unsold items are resold at discounted prices. Green Umbrella will use the donation to support children from vulnerable backgrounds who are pursuing arts education, including fashion.
Kim Hyun-ji of Archive Co. said, “We wanted to give back some of the love our customers have shown HATCHINGROOM. We hope this helps children who might otherwise give up on their dreams because of financial hardship.”
Yeo In-mi thanked the brand for supporting young people pursuing the arts so they won’t be left behind, and pledged that the foundation will continue its efforts to help children in need.
Since opening in 2021, HATCHINGROOM has quickly cultivated a devoted following. Last March, the brand expanded its Seoul Forest–area shop into a flagship store as it continues to grow.
