W Concept announced on the 28th that it invited experts from the KOTITI Testing & Research Institute to lead a Textile Material Quality Control training session.

KOTITI Testing & Research Institute, established in 1961, is a government-certified testing and certification body. It offers specialized services—test analysis, quality inspections, product certification, research and development, training, and technical support—across industries such as textiles, consumer goods, cosmetics, household chemical products, and environmental safety.

About 60 merchandisers (MDs) responsible for brand onboarding and overall product management attended the training. W Concept held the session to deepen their understanding of textile materials and quality-control processes, sharpen their job skills, and bolster the company’s quality-inspection procedures.

Key topics included debates over padding fill composition, practical quality-control methods, KS (Korean Standards) labeling guidance, and techniques for identifying textile fibers.

W Concept is doubling down on quality control. Since last year, the company has required brands to provide accurate product information and has limited sales of major product categories to items backed by test reports. It plans to offer consulting and briefings for brands and is considering attaching verification documents to product detail pages for items that pass inspections by external certified bodies.

A W Concept spokesperson said, "We will further strengthen our quality-control system to increase trust in the platform so customers can confidently buy from our brands."
