Hurado threw 7 innings on the 28th at Jamsil Baseball Stadium during the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League road game against Doosan, allowing 6 hits, striking out 7, issuing no walks and surrendering no runs.
The bullpen, however, gave up a run in the 9th inning, so Hurado did not pick up the win.
Hurado’s performance helped Samsung snap a 7-game losing streak; the team improved to 13 wins, 1 tie, 11 losses and held onto fourth place.
That day Hurado threw 86 pitches: 11 fastballs, 29 sinkers, 20 sliders, 3 cutters, 20 changeups and 3 curveballs. His fastball topped out at 150 km/h (93.2 mph).
After the game, Hurado downplayed the outing, saying, "It's still early in the season. I just went out there to do my job."
He added, "Over a long season you have good days and bad days. My goal is to eat innings and give the team a chance to win."
Hurado closed by promising more to come: "It's early, and I'll keep working to show even better performances moving forward."
