Hanwha Life Esports beat T1 to extend their winning streak to eight.
Hanwha secured a 2-1 victory over T1 on the afternoon of the 1st at the LCK Arena in Grand Seoul, Jongno-gu. The win moved Hanwha to 9-1 on the season (+13), putting them alone atop the standings, while T1 fell to 6-4.
Hanwha displayed strong late-game discipline to take Game 1. Early on, Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok)'s Annie used Flash but was later solo-killed by Zeka (Kim Geon-woo)'s Azir. T1 then caught two Hanwha players in a 12-minute skirmish in the bottom lane.
At 15 minutes, a top-side fight saw Doran (Choi Hyun-joon)'s Varus rack up three kills for T1. T1 then dominated a 24-minute river engagement, and in that skirmish Phase (Kim Su-hwan)'s Jhin recorded a triple kill.
Hanwha answered by securing Baron and, in the follow-up fight, clearing T1's top-side players. With objective control in hand, Hanwha won the subsequent teamfights and clawed back the gold deficit. After winning a fight at the 32-minute mark on the top side, Hanwha pushed into T1's base, took down both inhibitor turrets and the Nexus, and closed out Game 1.
After dropping Game 2, Hanwha opened Game 3 when Zeka (Kim Geon-woo)'s Ahri picked off Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok)'s Orianna in a bottom-lane skirmish. Hanwha also prevailed in a top-lane fight and secured the Cloud Drake soul.
Hanwha stretched their lead to about 6,000 gold. In a late-game top fight, Zeus (Choi Woo-je)'s Jayce delivered a quadra kill that sealed the momentum. With control established, Hanwha pushed through T1's bottom lane, dismantled the base structures and finished the series.
