[SPOTV News=Gwangju, Reporter Kwak Hye-mi] The semifinal between Daegu Namdo Elementary and Seoul Gadong Elementary in the third Presidential Cup National Youth Baseball Tournament took place the morning of the 14th at Gwangju’s Mudeung Baseball Stadium.
Seoul Gadong Elementary starter Kim Geon delivered a strong outing on the mound.
The Korea Baseball and Softball Association (KBSA), chaired by Yang Hae-young, is hosting the third Presidential Cup National Youth Baseball Tournament, with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Baseball and Softball Association serving as co-organizer. The event opened in grand fashion on May 5 at Mudeung Baseball Stadium.
The 11-day tournament runs through the 15th. Top "champion of champions" squads—elementary schools and youth club teams from across the country that posted strong results last season—have converged to vie for the national youth baseball crown.
