KOBA 2026, South Korea’s largest broadcasting and media technology trade show, opened May 12 at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam district. The four-day event runs through May 15 across COEX halls B, C and D and the conference center.
This year’s theme, “The Media Era Awakened by AI: Connected Content, Evolving Creativity, and Emerging Convergence,” spotlights how artificial intelligence is reshaping media production and distribution. About 220 domestic and international companies filled roughly 1,000 booths, and organizers are expecting over 40,000 visitors.
Throughout the event, a media conference series will cover AI-driven innovation, virtual content production and next-generation lighting design. Organizers also created a joint pavilion to promote domestic manufacturing of public broadcasting equipment, hands-on zones for AI-based content creation, and media-art experience spaces — offering attendees a concise view of the industry’s rapid transformation.
