[RealFood=Reporter Yuk Seong-yeon] On May 8, the Korean Food Promotion Institute announced it will participate in the 2026 Byeolhana Festival and operate a promotional booth to showcase its K-Gourmet Belt initiative. The ESG-focused cultural festival, organized by Dining Brands Group, takes place on May 9 at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul. The institute plans to introduce its "chicken & poultry cuisine belt," developed under the K-Gourmet Belt project, to the public.
The booth will spotlight the K-Gourmet Belt's year-by-year development plans and feature previously identified regional specialties—jang (fermented sauces), kimchi, traditional liquors, and ginseng—alongside details about the chicken and poultry cuisine belt.
Visitors can join interactive activities, including a roulette-style quiz about the K-Gourmet and chicken/poultry belts, a topic survey, and a four-shot photo booth where friends can snap keepsake strips.
"Participating in this year's Byeolhana Festival will be a great opportunity to spark interest in the new K-Gourmet Belt project," a Korean Food Promotion Institute official said.
