The first Fortune Expo, an interactive self-exploration fair, runs May 28–31 at the aT Center Exhibition Hall 2 in Yangjae-dong, Seoul.Opening under the slogan \"Read the weather of your life, and take your luck with you,\" the expo gathers a wide range of Eastern and Western fortune-telling traditions, including saju (four pillars), tarot, feng shui, the I Ching, Zi Wei Dou Shu, face reading (physiognomy), and palmistry.
Organizers say the event reframes fortune-telling as a language for understanding who you are today, rather than a source of definitive predictions about the future. The program is aimed especially at millennials and Gen Z—audiences that often wrestle with vague anxieties and identity questions—offering quick ways to read life’s currents and select small, practical habits to invite more luck into everyday life.
At the counseling zone called the \"Destiny Weather Bureau,\" staffed by 108 professional counselors, visitors can receive consultations across specialties and pick up a self-exploration workbook titled \"My Life Weather Record.\" The \"Fortune Adventure Zone,\" featuring about 100 lifestyle brands, is organized into four categories: Luck Items (objects that attract luck), Space Items (feng shui and interior solutions), Body‑Mind Items (meditation, wellness, and body-type care), and Habit Items (tea culture, personal color consultations, and routine coaching).
At noon on the 29th, Park Seong-jun, director of the Feng Shui Research Institute, will deliver a special lecture on feng shui and lifestyle for the first 200 attendees.
The expo aims to cultivate a sustainable, healthy culture around fate studies and divination. Its guiding principle is to treat fortunes like weather—something to be read and translated into small, actionable steps—rather than to enforce coercive counseling practices.
Pre-registration is open through the 27th on the expo's official website and includes a 50% discount. All attendees will receive a \"My Life Weather Record\" and a \"Lucky Pen\" as souvenirs.
Organizers said, \"We aim to transform fortune-telling into a healthy counseling practice and to establish a lifestyle culture that brings luck and hope, so people can easily read the flow of their lives and carry a little good fortune home with them.\"
