To mark the 104th Children’s Day, the Incheon Jung-gu Facilities Management Corporation will open the pools at the Jung-gu and Yeongjong National Sports Centers free of charge to local children on May 5.
The event will take place Tuesday, May 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. It will be divided into two sessions, and the first 40 children for each session will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Organizers will remove two lanes to create a children’s pool area and provide an open space for water play.
Each year, the corporation’s free pool opening draws strong interest from local families. This year’s event aims to help children feel more comfortable using public sports facilities and to promote healthy leisure activities.
“We hope children will enjoy the water safely and make precious memories this Children’s Day,” an official from the corporation said.
