The tour comes in two curated routes—the Experience Tour and the History Tour—each pairing Dongducheon’s top sights with hands-on activities.
The bus-based City Tour makes it easy to hop between major spots. Each route mixes interactive experiences with chances to sample local eats, which is a big part of the appeal.
On the Experience Tour, you’ll get nature-focused R&R plus immersive activities. Expect a walk through the healing forest at the natural recreation area, a relaxed tea ceremony, a cypress steam therapy session, and a scenic circuit around Soyo Mountain to soak up the views.
The History Tour offers a deeper dive into the region’s past and cultural assets. At the Freedom Defense Peace Museum—where cherry blossoms put on a show—a professional docent will guide visitors and illuminate the site’s historical significance.
New this year: every route now includes craft workshops led by local creators. These hands-on sessions give travelers a chance to connect with Dongducheon’s creative scene and take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir.
