[Inews24 reporter Ahn Young-rok] Imagine a spot where productivity meets peace: a new workation center that lets you work and unwind has opened at the Miwon Byulbit Natural Recreation Forest in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea.

Cheongju City announced on the 24th that the center held its completion ceremony that day. The project remodeled two existing buildings in the Miwon Byulbit Natural Recreation Forest at a cost of 1.8 billion KRW (approximately $1.35 million).

Inside, you'll find an open café, a 56-seat seminar room, a 10-person meeting room, an open lounge with 21 seats, and flexible office space—everything designed for a comfortable blend of work and relaxation.

Cheongju Urban Corporation will operate the Miwon Byulbit workation center, and the city plans a pilot program starting next month.

Cheongju aims to attract longer stays by linking the Miwon Byulbit Natural Recreation Forest—developed after the city purchased and refurbished the private Dongbowon resort—with the new workation center.
