[Sports Seoul | Reporter Wi Su-jeong] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are rolling out a global fan outreach around BTS’s comeback concerts.

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) said on the 17th that it will run a hospitality campaign and promote Korea as a travel destination to foreign fans attending the BTS shows at Gwanghwamun Square on the 21st. The initiative centers on coordinated online and offline marketing designed to turn concert attendance into memorable travel experiences.

First, the KTO will air Korea tourism videos on outdoor screens around Gwanghwamun and hang a giant welcome banner for international fans on the exterior of the Seoul Government Complex. Promo booths near Gwanghwamun Station will share K-content and travel tips, host hands-on activities, and give away souvenirs.

The nearby tourism spot “Hiker Ground” will be transformed into a purple-themed pop-up during the concerts. Expect drink discounts, dance and sing-along events, and extended hours until midnight on show nights. The venue will also offer practical perks like open restrooms, phone charging stations, and free Wi‑Fi.

The KTO is boosting its online promotions, too. On the integrated tourism platform VISITKOREA, it will run a BTS-focused special featuring filming locations and nearby attractions. Discounted tour packages for foreign visitors will be available via international platforms, and overseas social channels will share essential concert info—transportation, payment options, and more—in multiple languages.

The campaign will also tap global influencers: selected creators will receive experience vouchers and filming support to help amplify K-culture and tourism content.

To keep things safe and smooth on show day, the KTO will expand tourist interpretation services (1330) and increase operations at tourist information centers, providing multilingual details on transit, medical services, and other essentials.

Han Yeo-ok, head of the KTO’s International Tourism Content Office, said, “The BTS concerts are a chance to showcase Korea’s tourism appeal to the world. We’ll strengthen support so fans can enjoy a comfortable and memorable experience.” wsj0114@sportsseoul.com
