According to Boseong County, the Korea Tea Museum gives visitors a sweeping look at Korean tea culture and has been a central attraction since it opened in 2010.

The museum is laid out by floor — first floor: tea culture; second floor: tea history; third floor: interactive experiences — and lets guests compare tea traditions from Europe, China, Japan and beyond.

What truly sets Boseong apart are the ancient tea-tree groves that still grow here — rare remnants preserved in the region — and the exhibition and product halls built around them. A video gallery that showcases the tea fields through all four seasons is especially popular with families and kids.

Boseong green tea’s strength isn’t just in displays — it’s in the experiences. Visitors can pick tea leaves, learn how tea is made, and relax with green-tea foot baths. The annual Boseong Dahyang Festival has become one of South Korea’s standout tea culture celebrations.

Officials are also expanding programming for younger crowds. New offerings like matcha cocktails, roasting demonstrations, and baking workshops add a fresh, modern spin to traditional tea culture.

Lee Sang-chul, deputy governor of Boseong County, said, “Boseong isn’t just a place to sell green tea — it’s a place where visitors can dive in, try things for themselves, and have fun. We’ll keep growing global tourism content and link it with the local economy to put Boseong green tea on the world stage.”
