[Sports Today reporter Song O-jung] Jang Do-ha, who won over viewers with his turns in the recently concluded hit series Undercover Miss Hong, shared a warm, reflective statement after the finale.

The tvN weekend drama Undercover Miss Hong wrapped on the 8th. Jang Do-ha played Section Chief Lee Yong-gi at the Crisis Management Headquarters, delivering consistently memorable, scene-stealing performances that endeared him to audiences.

Through his agency Salt Entertainment, Jang said, \"I still can't believe this project — one I wrestled with and filmed so happily — has come to an end amid so much love. As both a cast member and a viewer, I looked forward to shooting days and broadcast days. That happy anticipation ending already feels poignant and leaves me nostalgic.\"

Jang, who surprised viewers as a computer whiz who built the intranet in an instant and even as a member of the Yeouido pirate crew, said he wanted Lee Yong-gi's arc to be about growth. \"I kept thinking of the line, 'We are all Yong-gi' — with Yong-gi meaning 'courage' — and I wanted to portray the courage that grows, and through that, ourselves. The engine of Yong-gi's growth was Miss Hong's encouragement, which recognized his talent and worth. We all have abilities like Yong-gi, and I wanted to show how people grow with someone else's support or by cheering themselves on,\" he explained. He singled out the scene in which Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye) tells Lee Yong-gi, \"You can do this,\" and roses bloom around them as the moment that stuck with him most. That beat, he said, is when Yong-gi really felt like himself.

Because he enjoyed the shoot and the series received such strong support, Jang said he expects Undercover Miss Hong to be remembered as a show that highlights the importance of the journey. He offered heartfelt thanks to viewers: \"I am endlessly grateful to everyone who loved the series. After every episode aired, reading your comments and seeing you puzzle over Yebbi and the plot brought me so much joy. I hope you'll always be courageous. I am truly happy and thankful.\"

Immediately after the finale aired, his agency posted a set tour of Undercover Miss Hong and behind-the-scenes footage from the final shoot on its YouTube channel.

Since debuting in My Country and appearing in Shooting Stars, We Are Not Trash, and The Judge from Hell, Jang Do-ha has steadily built a reputation for memorable, unaffected charm. His compelling work in Undercover Miss Hong has won him wide affection, and audiences will be watching to see his next confident steps.
