Actor Lee Min-woo admitted he felt significant pressure while filming historical dramas.
On the afternoon of the 11th, JTBC's Knowing Bros aired a Danjong-themed episode featuring Lee Min-woo, actor Jung Tae-woo, and history instructor Seol Min-seok.
Often referred to as the "original Danjong," Lee said he finds period pieces especially demanding because he has to portray real historical figures and accurately evoke their eras.
He revealed he read roughly 40 books to prepare for the role and even submitted written reports to the director. Host Kang Ho-dong empathized, noting, "You can't act without knowing," and acknowledged why Lee felt that way.
Lee also quipped that playing a king has its perks — you don't have to move around much; you can simply open the door and walk out — a remark that drew laughter.
