MAMAMOO member Solar is releasing a solo Chinese-language single.
Today (April 22) at 6 p.m. KST, Solar will release the Chinese single '總有一顆屬於你的星球 (Your Own Star)' across major streaming platforms.
'Your Own Star' is a solo vocal version of the Chinese single Solar first released in March as a collaboration with the band Accusefive. The song traces the search for one’s own bearings and the meaning of existence amid the vast flow of time, and the solo cut promises a distinct, personal charm compared with the collaboration.
Solar not only shaped the song’s direction but also contributed to the lyrics, and she uses this solo version to deliver the track’s message fully in her own voice. With her nuanced tone and emotional delivery, she expands her musical range on this recording.
The single proved popular on release, reaching No. 1 on iTunes Taiwan’s Top Songs chart and entering major charts such as QQ Music and Kugou Music; the solo version is expected to attract strong interest as well.
Solar will perform '總有一顆屬於你的星球 (Your Own Star)' live on May 10 at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). Riding a string of collaborations with international artists—and success on local charts, awards stages and concert bills—Solar is further cementing her standing as a K-pop diva and advancing her career as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, Solar’s solo-sung Chinese single 'Your Own Star' will be released today (April 22) at 6 p.m. on major streaming platforms.
