(The CEN News / Reporter Yang Hyung-ju) KBS2's music-talk series The Seasons — Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend kicks off its premiere with a star-studded guest lineup.
The March 27 broadcast of KBS2's music talk show will feature Lee Sora, YB, Kim Jo-han, Jung Seung-hwan and Kwon Jin-ah.
Opening the show, Sung Si-kyung delivered his signature, velvety vocals to set a mellow, late-night mood and quickly established rapport with the audience. Though he appeared a bit nervous returning to television, he guided the taping with his trademark relaxed charm and easy banter.
Fitting for a season premiere, the program assembled a formidable guest roster. Lee Sora returned to TV after roughly six years to a warm reception, updating viewers on her recent life — \"I've mostly been staying at home\" — and teasing that she'll reveal an unexpected daily routine.
Yoon Do-hyun returned as YB's frontman, channeling a fiery rock spirit and joining Sung Si-kyung for an impromptu rendition of \"On the Street.\" He also drew attention with a candid aside — \"Why would I be in a band?\" — that prompted reaction.
Kim Jo-han and Jung Seung-hwan performed a duet of \"I Want to Fall in Love.\" Kim Jo-han recalled his link to Sung Si-kyung — singing chorus on Sung's debut track \"The Way to Me\" — and addressed rumors that the two are distant relatives. Jung Seung-hwan shared a humorous anecdote about holding the No. 1 spot on the digital charts for five weeks, even ahead of Sung's songs, earning laughs.
Kwon Jin-ah reinterpreted Sung Si-kyung's \"Hee-jae\" with her own emotive vocal style, earning admiration and even demonstrating a playful \"pterosaur\" vocal technique on the spot. Sung praised her performance, likening her to Mariah Carey and predicting, \"I think she'll be a superstar.\"
The first episode of The Seasons — Sung Si-kyung's Eardrum Boyfriend airs at 10 p.m. on March 27.
