Photos recently circulated on online community forums showing Song at the VIP screening for the film 'Method Acting' at COEX Megabox in Gangnam, Seoul on the 13th.
In the images, he covered his face with a hat and mask. Song is known to be a close friend of Lee Dong-hwi.
From March 2023 through December 2024, Song served as a social service worker at a facility in Mapo District, Seoul. He later faced allegations of failing to report for duty and leaving his post.
Prosecutors carried out a supplemental probe, securing evidence including cellphone forensics and GPS records. They confirmed additional unauthorized absences, and sources say Song largely acknowledged leaving his assigned duty station.
His first hearing, originally scheduled for the 24th, has been postponed to the 21st of next month. The indictment records that he was absent without leave for 102 days.
