On April 10, Hana Tour said the two companies pledged last year to build a “next-generation tourism community” by combining global networks, hotel and airline operational infrastructure, and digital capabilities. This spring, they’re leveraging H.I.S.’s Hawaiian on-the-ground resources to make trips smoother and more convenient for Hana Tour customers.
Hana Tour says its customers will now have equal access to H.I.S.’s key Hawaii infrastructure, raising the bar for local travel convenience and service competitiveness.
Specifically, travelers can hop on the LeaLea trolley—the largest trolley line in Hawaii—to move easily between Waikiki’s main hubs, major shopping centers, and popular sights.
They can also unwind at the centrally located LeaLea Lounge in Waikiki, where comfortable seating, local travel tips, and concierge services are available.
These perks aren’t limited to packaged tours; independent travelers (FITs) will also be able to take advantage of them.
Hana Tour framed the Hawaii partnership as more than a simple infrastructure share—it's a symbolic first step for two flagship travel companies from Korea and Japan to join forces, create synergy, and prove their competitiveness in the global market.
The company added that it will continue actively collaborating with H.I.S. on joint tourism content development, service-quality improvements, and operational efficiencies.
