[Sports Seoul | Reporter Won Seong-yun] Airbnb is teaming up with global entertainment giant HYBE to give practical lodging support to fans traveling to South Korea for K-pop shows.

As the first project of their collaboration, Airbnb announced on the 8th that it will offer discount coupons for accommodation bookings to members of SEVENTEEN’s official fan club, CARAT, via the global superfans platform Weverse. The deal is meant to help fans plan more convenient and budget‑friendly trips ahead of SEVENTEEN’s 10th-anniversary fan meeting, 2026 SVT 10TH FAN MEETING 〈SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND〉, in Incheon on June 20–21.

CARAT members can download the coupon from the Weverse app’s coupon box from 2:00 PM on May 8 through June 21. The coupon applies to domestic stays with check-in and check-out between June 14 and 28, covering the fan meeting dates. Discounts are up to 7% of the payment amount. For bookings of at least 200,000 KRW (about $150), fans can save up to 20,000 KRW (about $15) per reservation.

Airbnb says the collaboration stems from findings that K‑culture is a major driver of real inbound travel. In its report Steps Toward Korea, 94% of respondents said K‑culture increased their interest in traveling to Korea, and 75% cited it as a primary reason for visiting.

Following that trend, Airbnb and HYBE signed a memorandum of understanding last year and have been expanding fan experiences into travel. During SEVENTEEN’s 2025 concert run, the partners launched THE CITY project with themed experiences in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. More recently, they’ve rolled out immersive stays and pop‑up programs that turn fandom energy into longer, stay‑based travel experiences.

Seo Ga‑yeon, country manager of Airbnb Korea, said, “This collaboration matters because it helps fans coming to Korea for K‑pop events book lodging and plan trips more easily. We’ll keep building partnerships that make travel more convenient for visitors to Korea and that broaden fan experiences.” socool@sportsseoul.com
