With cooking competition shows booming at home and abroad, demand for food-focused travel is surging. According to Business Research Company's Culinary Tourism Market Report 2026, the global culinary tourism market is expected to reach 1,000,023,000,000 USD this year (about 1,800 trillion KRW).
Jeju Air recommends trips to Hong Kong—where the 2026 Michelin Guide will be announced—Singapore, a top destination for experiential food travel, and Taiwan.
With the Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2026 set to be announced on the 19th, Hong Kong has food lovers around the world watching. The city currently boasts seven three-star restaurants, cementing its reputation as one of Asia’s premier culinary hubs. Alongside Chinese cuisine, French and Japanese restaurants cluster throughout the city, and innovative, Korean-run eateries add a familiar yet elevated option for visitors from Korea and beyond.
Beyond food, Hong Kong pairs dazzling urban night views with retro charm, and attractions like Disneyland add to the appeal. Jeju Air operates the Incheon–Hong Kong route daily and, starting on the 29th, will add evening departures from Incheon so busy professionals can take a 'night-owl culinary trip' without using vacation days. Travelers can also connect to the Macau route (seven weekly flights) to enjoy a multi-stop Incheon–Hong Kong–Macau–Incheon itinerary.

Singapore is another must-visit for food travelers. Its hawker stalls were the first street-food vendors to earn a Michelin star, and the city also hosts three three-star Michelin restaurants. Vibrant cultural neighborhoods like Little India and a clean, comfortable urban environment keep visitors coming back. Jeju Air currently operates daily evening flights from Incheon and Busan to Singapore.
Taiwan is also gaining attention as a culinary destination. It has three three-star restaurants that reinterpret traditional dishes with modern flair, and the Taiwanese Michelin Guide lists world-class cafés as well as restaurants. Taiwan is one of the few places in Asia that grows coffee beans and is known for its specialty coffee. In March, when lantern festivals and firefly tours take place, Jeju Air operates four routes: Gimpo–Kaohsiung, Incheon–Taipei, Busan–Taipei and Busan–Kaohsiung.
A Jeju Air spokesperson said, \"Local eateries and Michelin restaurants have become important travel motivators. As the global culinary tourism market grows, we will offer reasonable fares and convenient schedules so customers can enjoy a variety of travel experiences in Asia’s leading culinary cities.\"
