[TourKorea=Reporter Yu Kyung-hoon] On the 9th, Seoul City and the Seoul Tourism Foundation (CEO Gil Ki-yeon) hosted the 2026 Seoul MICE Support Online Briefing, drawing 295 attendees from academic associations and MICE industry professionals across South Korea.
The briefing offered clear, practical guidance on grant programs and how organizers can use them — covering international conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, incentive trips, and international events — targeted at those vying to bring events to Seoul and those who’ve already locked in dates.
Gil Ki-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation, said, "Last year, Seoul ranked third worldwide among cities hosting international conferences, according to the Union of International Associations (UIA). It also earned Global Traveler’s 'Best MICE City' honor for the 11th straight year — proof of its standing as a global MICE hub. But we won’t rest on these achievements. Together with the city, the Foundation will be Seoul’s most reliable partner, providing full support to help Seoul become the top host in the global MICE market."
