[Sports Seoul | Reporter Park Kyung-ho] TV personality Noh Hong-chul is continuing his travels in his own playful, unpredictable style.
On the 12th, he posted on his social media that he’d impulsively flown to a strange, unfamiliar place to see an active volcano — saying it would make his life “hotter” and even calling himself “VOLCANO MAN.” He added that pain is temporary but giving up is forever and that you can’t find new ground without taking risks.
The photos and videos he shared show him at Cerro Negro, an active volcano in Nicaragua. He hurtled down the volcanic slope on a board — like sledding but hotter — clearly enjoying the adrenaline rush. Even with reddened skin and a few scrapes, he laughed loudly and seemed unfazed, which drew attention online.
Meanwhile, after posting a photo in which he touched a lion during a recent trip to Africa, Noh faced accusations of animal abuse. Critics alleged the animal may have been sedated for the photo; Noh and the local tour operator issued statements denying those claims. park5544@sportsseoul.com
