On her YouTube channel 'Kim Sook TV,' she dropped a new video titled Kim Sook Conquers LA by Eating: An Eat-and-Play Trip 🎡 (In-N-Out + La La Land tour + Hollywood Boulevard + Farmers' Market + Santa Monica Beach).
Before diving into the itinerary, Kim shared a travel mishap from four years ago: she once booked a ticket but was denied entry at the airport because she hadn’t updated her visa address.
Dressed in a heavy winter parka at the time, she laughed as she recalled how deflated she felt — and how she ended up flying to Thailand in that very outfit instead of going home.
When she finally reached the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Kim said she really felt like she was on vacation. She scanned the stars for entertainment legends, and though she admitted feeling a bit let down by the many English names, she lit up like a kid when she discovered autographs from the stars of Harry Potter.
She was especially moved to find the names of the late Ahn Sung-ki and actor Lee Byung-hun. "I’m so proud," Kim said after spotting Ahn’s name. Ahn, who passed away on Jan. 5 at age 74, appeared in more than 100 films over a career spanning over five decades and is revered as a legend of Korean cinema.

Food was a standout part of the trip, too. Kim made a beeline for a taco mecca as soon as she landed in LA and happily demolished tacos, burritos, and tostadas.
After checking out La La Land’s romantic filming spots, she stopped at a famous burger joint and marveled at the sheer amount of bacon. Kim joked that she’d learned it’s best to press the sandwich down before eating, then continued her fearless food crawl by polishing off an egg sandwich.
The journey’s final stop was a beloved sundubu (soft tofu stew) restaurant where locals line up. Kim hyped the spot as a must-visit for touring performers — even singer Lee Chan-won had been there — which only added to the buzz.
Swept up by the perfectly served hot stone pot rice and the spicy, comforting sundubu stew, Kim said she finally understood why everyone flocks there and didn’t hold back her praise. Putting past troubles behind her, Kim closed out her LA trip on a warm, upbeat note, sharing the city’s lively energy and its irresistible food scene.
