Explore Daegu: New ‘Zoo Next to Art Museum’ Tour Bus Launching in April!

[iNews24 reporter Lee Chang-jae] Dalseong County has unveiled a fresh tour that pairs its eco-rich attractions with Suseong District’s cultural hotspots.

Dalseong County announced on the 12th that it will launch a Dalseong tourism tour bus called The Zoo Next to the Museum (working title) starting next month to connect major tourist sites in Dalseong County and Suseong District.

The tour runs every weekend from April through May. It departs from the Daegu Children’s Hall and loops through Gachang-area highlights in Dalseong County — Nokdong Seowon, Nature Park, and Gachang Dam — before visiting Suseong District’s Kansong Museum and Suseong Lake.

At just 10,000 KRW (about 7.50 USD) per person, the fare includes admission to Nature Park and the Kansong Museum, making it an appealing option for families planning a spring outing.

Dalseong County has been expanding its tourism offerings around regional routes like Dodong Seowon and Songhae Park. This new Suseong-linked line ties together Gachang-myeon’s scenic natural areas with Suseong’s cultural and arts venues, extending visitor stays and improving access.

The Dalseong tourism tour bus solves access issues to sites with limited public transit and has become a recognizable local tourism brand. Last year it operated 40 trips and served 1,155 passengers, showing steady growth.

Choi Jae-hoon, head of Dalseong County, said, "This linked tour will mark a step toward broader regional cooperation. By combining Dalseong’s natural and historical resources with Suseong’s artistic offerings, we aim to lengthen visitor stays and boost local businesses, creating a fresh model for tourism."
