[Tour Korea = Reporter Yu Kyung-hoon] Seoul’s Han River nights are about to shine again. Starting this Friday the 10th and running through June 5, Yeouido, Ttukseom and Jamsil Han River Parks will host the 2026 Han River Light Performance — the Drone Light Show.

The Han River Drone Light Show is an official program of Seoul’s signature spring celebration, the Seoul Spring Festival. The event blends choreographed drone displays with live performances, hands‑on experiences and interactive programming, so visitors can enjoy a full festival vibe in one spot.

Since its spring 2024 debut, the show drew 280,000 spectators last year and, in just two years, has become a standout global nighttime attraction for Seoul.

This season’s lineup opens on the 10th and continues on the 25th, May 5, May 16 and June 5 — five shows in total.

The series kicks off this Friday night (the 10th) at Yeouido Han River Park’s water‑light stage with a “BT21 in Seoul” theme. BT21 — the character brand created by BTS in collaboration with LINE FRIENDS — takes center stage in a playful program that celebrates Seoul’s culture and creativity.

Organizers expect the performance to draw strong interest from both domestic and international visitors, especially alongside the citywide “BTS The City: Arirang Seoul” events running through the 19th.

On the 25th at Ttukseom, LINE FRIENDS characters Brown, Sally and Joguman (IPX) will star in drone performances that follow each character’s own story as they enjoy the Seoul Spring Festival.

On Children’s Day, May 5, Jamsil Han River Park will host a special “Star Wars” themed performance produced in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Korea. Expect on‑site Star Wars activities for families and fans that same day.

That performance will feature a remarkable 2,000‑drone formation, promising an even more dazzling and immersive spectacle.

Additional highlights include the “Garden of Light” on May 16 and a performance tied to the “Take It Easy Han River 3‑Festival” on June 5, both staged around the Ttukseom area.

The main drone show begins at 8:30 p.m. and runs for 15 minutes, followed by a 10‑minute mini show featuring 300 drones.

Before and after the drone performances, a lineup of cultural and arts events will entertain on‑site visitors, offering plenty to see and do throughout the evening.
