Suwon City is launching a \"Slow Mailbox\"—drop a postcard today, and it will be mailed three months later, turning a present note into a future keepsake.

On the 6th, Suwon City and the Suwon Post Office signed a partnership agreement in front of Nampo-ru along Paldalsan Hoeju Road to install and operate the Slow Mailbox.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate on △ installing the Slow Mailbox and providing the site △ collecting and delivering letters △ producing and selling custom postcards to mark Suwon’s Year of Visit.

The Slow Mailbox is an experiential tourism attraction tied to K-drama filming locations. It will be installed at the drama photo zone in front of Nampo-ru on Paldalsan Hoeju Road, Suwon’s signature cherry-blossom spot.

Visitors can write postcards and drop them into the mailbox; the post office will collect the letters and send them out three months later.

City officials say the Slow Mailbox will add a playful twist to cherry-blossom season and is likely to become a popular retro-style photo backdrop.
