Jindo County, in South Jeolla, announced on the 30th that its booth at Seoul’s 2026 NaeNara Travel Expo won the Special Award for Outstanding Booth.
The NaeNara Travel Expo is South Korea’s largest travel fair. This year, 160 organizations—from local governments and tourism bodies to travel companies—participated, operating 385 booths in total.
Jindo drew praise for its distinctive, hands-on booth experiences, which impressed both visitors and industry officials.
At the expo, the county focused its promotions on spring highlights: the Bobaeseom Canola Flower Festival on Gwanmaedo in Jodo-myeon (April 9–12) and the Jindo Mysterious Sea Road Festival (April 17–20).
The County Tourism Council also introduced new offerings: the nighttime immersive program "Myeongnyang: Embracing Moonlight," a stay-and-walk itinerary along the Jindo Seohaerang Trail, and the arts-and-culture-focused "Unlim Sunday Market." These attractions received positive feedback.
An official said the award validates Jindo’s strong tourism content and its on-the-ground event management. The county plans to keep developing immersive, participation-driven experiences to position Jindo as a top stay-and-explore destination in South Korea.
