Jinan County in North Jeolla Province announced on March 17 that, to celebrate the 2026 "Year to Visit Jinan," it will host a curated exhibition called 'Greeting, Jinan' at the Jeonju White Western-Style House cultural complex through April 12. The show is being presented in partnership with the Jeonbuk Cultural Tourism Foundation.
Titled 'Jinan as Seen at the Jeonju White Western-Style House,' the exhibition is designed to introduce the county’s natural beauty and tourist offerings to both residents and visitors. The White Western-Style House was once the official residence of the North Jeolla governor.
The county hopes the exhibition will serve as a welcoming invitation—bringing Jinan’s charms closer to people and inspiring them to visit in person.
Inside the exhibit, visuals spotlight iconic Jinan scenes: the mysterious ridgelines of Maisan, the tranquil expanse of Yongdam Lake, and the area's signature festivals and cultural assets.
The show also features works from the Yongdam Lake Photo and Culture Museum’s collection. County officials say they reimagined Maisan, Yongdam Lake and the highland landscapes as contemporary illustrations so visitors can experience Jinan’s nature in a more emotional and refreshingly new way.
There’s also a selfie-ready photo zone starring the county’s mascot Ppamang and 'Nabi,' a four-season illustrated character created through Jinan’s culture and arts support program.
Lee Gyeong-rim, head of the county’s Culture and Sports Division, said the exhibition offers city residents a special cultural encounter with Jinan and that the county will continue to showcase Jinan’s unique attractions and charm through varied cultural content.
