Trying to pick a family escape this sunny March? Let me save you the scroll: head to Everland Safari World — South Korea’s pride when it comes to theme parks. After drawing millions of visitors in 2025, Everland rolls into spring 2026 with refreshed energy, bolder animal experiences, and tech-driven updates that make it feel new again.

This season isn’t just about spotting animals from a distance. Everland’s refresh blends cutting-edge tech with wild encounters, giving visitors something deeper than a typical zoo visit.

Right now, the buzz centers on the Lost Valley Walking Safari, which flips the script on the classic predator-on-the-road safari. Instead of riding in a vehicle, guests walk roughly a 1 km (about 0.6 miles) trail to explore habitats where herbivores roam. The draw? Ten herbivore species — think giraffes, rhinos, elephants, and zebras — are visible at much closer range, so the whole thing feels like an active expedition, not just passive sightseeing.

Meanwhile, Safari World itself is getting a separate makeover. Everland has launched renovations focused on better animal welfare and richer visitor experiences, and that update is a key part of their spring 2026 rollout.

So when people say “Everland Safari” these days, they’re often referring to the combined buzz from the new Walking Safari and the broader Safari World renovations — two updates that are feeding off each other.

Is buying an admission ticket enough?

This is where visitors often get tripped up: not every safari offering is included with basic admission.

The Walking Safari is a season-limited, headline attraction right now. The Safari Special Tour, on the other hand, is a premium, reservation-only experience that costs extra. According to the official smart-reservation page, the Safari Special Tour holds up to six people, lasts about 25 minutes, and costs 350,000원 (≈ $235). Everland admission must be purchased separately.

Reservations open on a weekly basis, and cancellation fees kick in starting two days before your visit. Bottom line: buying an entry ticket doesn’t automatically include all safari experiences — general admission and premium tours are booked and priced separately.

App registration and Smart Queuing

If it’s been a while since your last Everland visit, don’t skip the app setup. Everland instructs guests to register tickets in the official app before arrival, present the app’s registered QR code at the gate, and then use the Smart Queuing tab at the bottom of the app to manage rides and facility access after entry. Smart Queuing availability can change with weather or operations and may switch to on-site queues in some situations.

The most practical move? Install the app, log in, and register your tickets the day before you go. Trying to do all the setup on-site will eat into your park time.

On-site tips to make your visit smoother

Pack these practical tips and your day will run a lot smoother.

First, when interest is this high, arriving right at opening gives you a real advantage.

Second, don’t mix up the Walking Safari and the Special Tour. The Walking Safari is the season’s headline attraction; the Special Tour is a separately reserved premium experience that costs 350,000원 (≈ $235).

Third, check ticket prices before you go. As of March 2026, the smart-reservation main page lists adult full-day special rates starting at 36,000원 (≈ $24), child full-day special rates starting at 29,000원 (≈ $19), and afternoon passes from 29,000원 (≈ $19). Partner-card discounts appear from 25,000원 (≈ $17). Prices vary by date, partner offers, and promotions, so double-check the rate for your chosen visit date.
