On the 10th, the Daejeon Tourism Organization welcomed a delegation from the Department of Tourism at Sapporo International University, gave them an inside look at Daejeon's MICE infrastructure, and announced steps to deepen their collaboration.
The visitors toured the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC)—the city's flagship MICE venue—then explored Expo Science Park, Kkumdori House, and other top attractions to experience Daejeon's science-city infrastructure firsthand.
Both organizations said they will explore using Japanese media networks to boost promotion of Daejeon, pursue global personnel exchanges with Sapporo International University's Department of Tourism, and set up reciprocal exchange programs with tourism departments at universities in Daejeon.
Kim Yong-won, president of the Daejeon Tourism Organization, described the exchange as a meaningful example of how strong sister-city trust can lead to tangible, practical results.
