[Tour Korea = Reporter Seongran Jo] Get ready, travelers: a new nonstop route to Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s sun-soaked resort island, is set to launch. Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), backed by Sun Group, will begin service on the Incheon–Phu Quoc route and celebrate the debut with a ticket discount promotion.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways said it will start its first Incheon–Phu Quoc nonstop flight on April 17. To mark the launch, the airline is offering up to 20% off tickets booked through its official website as part of a special promotion.

Customers who book during the promotion will receive a free ride on the Sun World Hon Thom cable car, a signature attraction in southern Phu Quoc. Discounted fares apply to flights departing from April 17 through June 30.
Phu Quoc: a rising resort favorite among Korean travelers
Phu Quoc has quickly become a favorite getaway for Korean tourists. Global travel platform Agoda even named the island one of the top 10 overseas destinations Koreans prefer for 2025.
Known for its emerald waters, long sandy beaches, and diverse natural scenery, Phu Quoc is also appealing because it’s roughly a six-hour direct flight from Seoul. U.S. travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has praised the island as “a resort on par with the Maldives.”

Resorts, cable cars, live shows… tourism infrastructure expands
Sun Group has concentrated major tourist facilities in southern Phu Quoc. Highlights include the Sun World Hon Thom theme park—connected by the world’s longest three-line overwater cable car—a luxury resort complex, and a large night market that all draw visitors.
The island also stages shows like “Kiss of the Sea” and “Symphony of the Sea,” and nightly fireworks light up the sky, so travelers can enjoy vibrant experiences both day and night.
A Sun PhuQuoc Airways official said, “Opening a nonstop route between Incheon and Phu Quoc will make it easier for Korean travelers to reach one of Vietnam’s leading resort destinations,” adding, “We hope the launch promotion will help boost demand for travel to Phu Quoc.”
