Asiana Airlines (CEO Song Bo-young) is launching a new three-times-weekly service to Budapest, Hungary, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

To celebrate the new route, the airline held a launch ceremony at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 2 on April 3.

The event was attended by Park Jong-man, Asiana’s head of passenger operations; Szerdahelyi István, Hungary’s ambassador to Korea; Medvigy István, director of the Hungarian Cultural Center in Korea; and Kim Tae-seong, head of Hub Strategy at Incheon International Airport Corporation.

The Incheon–Budapest flight departs Incheon at 12:35 p.m. and arrives in Budapest at 6:05 p.m. local time.

The return service leaves Budapest at 8:00 p.m. local time and arrives in Incheon at 1:35 p.m. the following day. An Airbus A350 with 311 seats (28 business, 283 economy) will operate the route.

Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is often called the “Paris of Eastern Europe” for its stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage. A Central European political and economic hub, it’s known for the Danube riverside—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—along with landmarks like the Hungarian Parliament Building and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge.

An Asiana Airlines spokesperson said the Budapest route strengthens the carrier’s connections with major European hubs and added that the airline will prioritize reliable operations and distinctive service to maximize customer satisfaction.
