More international visitors are chasing cherry blossoms beyond Seoul and Jeju, turning bloom season into a nationwide trend.
Klook analyzed March traffic for cherry blossom–related products by region and found Chungcheong posted the biggest month‑over‑month jump, up 360%. Gyeongsang/Busan rose 182%, Gyeonggi/Seoul climbed 167%, Jeju increased 125%, and Gangwon went up 91%.
Year‑over‑year gains were just as striking. Traffic for Busan–Gyeongju cherry blossom tours surged 172%, Bucheon’s cherry blossom and azalea tours grew 89%, and Anmyeonam cherry blossom tours along with the Taean Tulip Festival rose 25%.
To tap that demand, Klook launched an exclusive Everland Cherry Blossom Tour for foreign visitors on the 15th of last month. The package pairs Everland admission with daytime and nighttime cherry blossom tours and centers on a garden-pass program that includes the nearby Gasil Cherry Blossom Road. By widening an experience that had mostly served domestic visitors to include internationals, Klook saw traffic jump 30% right after the launch.
Lee Junho, head of Klook Korea, said, "We're seeing clear seasonal demand centered on spring cherry blossoms. We'll keep expanding related offerings so foreign travelers can experience Korea's seasonal and regional highlights more fully."
