[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Singer Park Minsu’s performance clip from MBN’s Unknown Legends has ignited intense attention online.

Park appeared on the March 11 broadcast of Unknown Legends and delivered a heartfelt set during the show’s “Famous” selection round.

Though billed as a “famous” contestant, Park told viewers he still felt like an overlooked unknown before stepping on stage. He chose Kang Jin’s “Oyeol,” showcasing smooth yet powerful high notes and deeply felt emotional nuance. The performance left a strong impression, securing him fourth place and a spot in the next round.

Viewers heaped praise on Park’s rendition of “Oyeol,” and the clip has continued to resonate with audiences after the broadcast. The performance video has already surpassed 100,000 views.

Notably, lyricist Kim Byung-gul—who penned hits such as Jinseong’s “At Andong Station,” Seol Woon-do’s “Da Together Cha Cha Cha,” and Pyeon Seung-yeop’s “Chan Chan Chan”—personally sent Park a message of encouragement, drawing further attention.

Kim told Park, “You are a real singer. You know how to command your voice.” Park replied, “I still have a long way to go. I’ll keep working hard and show a more developed side of myself. It’s a great honor—thank you,” adding a warm, personal note to the exchange.

Park previously finished fifth on MBN’s Burning Trot Men, but feeling like an unknown, he returned to the trot audition circuit. Audiences are eager to see the deeper emotion and stronger performances he may deliver on Unknown Legends.

Meanwhile, MBN’s Unknown Legends, which features Park Minsu, airs Wednesdays at 9:40 p.m.
